Nine transparent estimators · No fixed-price promises

Plan the requirement.
Then survey the site.

Turn room counts, loads, retention targets and dimensions into a useful first brief. Every formula exposes its assumptions and every result explains what must still be verified.

01 · Discovery

Solution recommender

Match property, construction stage and priorities to relevant SmartR service guides. This recommends conversations, not products.

Priorities

Select the property, stage and priorities, then build a starting brief.

02 · Automation

BHK and space scope planner

Estimate the number of rooms, control points and survey zones that need a written schedule.

Enter the spaces that need controlled functions.

03 · Electrical coordination

Lighting load and zone planner

Convert circuits and connected watts into preliminary control zones, current and relay-channel questions.

Use connected load, not lamp marketing watt-equivalent figures.

04 · Surveillance

CCTV storage estimator

Estimate usable recording capacity from camera count, average encoded bitrate, recording schedule and retention.

Average bitrate must be measured or taken from the intended encoder profile.

05 · Networking

Wi-Fi access-point planning estimator

Compare a rough coverage count with a conservative client-capacity count. An RF survey still decides placement and channel design.

This is an AP quantity conversation starter, not a heatmap.

06 · Power continuity

UPS and battery runtime estimator

Estimate idealized runtime from battery energy, allowed depth of discharge and conversion efficiency.

Battery chemistry, age, temperature and discharge rate can materially reduce real runtime.

07 · Home theatre

Projector throw and image-size planner

Convert lens-to-screen distance and the manufacturer’s throw-ratio range into possible 16:9 image widths and diagonals.

Use throw ratios from the exact projector lens documentation.

08 · Room acoustics

Acoustic treatment surface estimator

Estimate a starting range of absorptive surface area from room geometry and intended use. Placement and treatment type remain design decisions.

Surface percentage does not predict reverberation time without material absorption data.

09 · Decision aid

Wired, wireless or hybrid architecture?

Use project constraints to rank starting architectures. The result is a requirements conversation, not a protocol verdict.

Answer four project questions to produce a transparent comparison.

Read before using the numbers

What every result still needs.

01

Site evidence

Dimensions, materials, cable routes, power, radio conditions and mounting access.

02

Exact equipment data

Load category, bitrate profile, lens range, battery curve, interface and supported protocol.

03

Acceptance criteria

What will be measured, witnessed and documented before handover.

Frequently asked questions

How to use these planning estimates.

Are these calculator results a quotation or system design?

No. Results are early planning estimates based only on the inputs and assumptions shown. A site survey, drawings, equipment data and responsibility review are required before design or quotation.

Why do the tools show ranges instead of one exact answer?

Building materials, wiring, equipment efficiency, usage, mounting and third-party interfaces change the result. A range makes that uncertainty visible instead of presenting false precision.

Do the calculators recommend a particular brand?

No. They estimate requirements and decision boundaries. Product selection follows verified load, protocol, interface, environmental and support requirements.

Can I send my result to SmartR Spaces?

Yes. Each result includes a WhatsApp link containing a short input and result summary. Do not include passwords, access codes or other security credentials.

From estimate to verified scope

Bring the result, drawings and equipment list.

SmartR Spaces can check the assumptions at the property and turn them into a written survey and commissioning brief.
