Your home,
working for you.
Lights that adjust as the sun sets. AC that cools before you arrive. Curtains that open when you say so. We design home automation for new builds and existing homes, combining lighting, climate, curtains, security and AV with support long after handover. Looking for a local team? What is home automation, exactly?
Home automation connects your lights, AC, fans, curtains, locks, and security systems to a central controller — so they can be operated from a single app, voice command, or automated schedule, instead of individual switches.
A fully automated home has three basic layers: sensors that read the environment (temperature, motion, daylight, occupancy), controllers that process that information, and actuators — the smart switches, dimmers, motorised blinds, smart locks — that respond. What you experience is a home that feels more intuitive. Energy performance depends on the controlled loads, schedules, occupancy, tariff, and baseline; any savings target should be measured rather than assumed.
Sensors
Motion, temperature, daylight, door/window, occupancy — the eyes and ears of your system.
Controllers / Hubs
The brain. Processes inputs and executes rules — whether that's a scheduled scene or a voice command.
Actuators
Smart switches, dimmers, smart locks, motorised curtains — the parts that physically respond.
New builds and existing homes — both work.
Home automation is not just for homes under construction. Most of our projects in Jaipur are retrofits — existing flats and bungalows where we work around existing wiring.
Under-construction homes & renovations
The best time to automate. Conduits can be laid before plastering, KNX wiring can go in before the electrician does the surface work, and you get maximum flexibility in system design. We work alongside your architect and civil contractor from the start.
- Full KNX or hybrid wired system
- In-wall touch panels, keypads
- Structured networking & AV pre-wire
- Energy monitoring from day one
Existing apartments & villas
Retrofit-grade modules can often use suitable existing switch boxes and wiring. Box depth, neutral availability, load type, circuit condition, finishes, and the required integrations determine whether rewiring or civil work is needed and how long installation takes. Read our retrofit guide →
- Behind-the-switch smart modules
- Wi-Fi, Zigbee or Z-Wave protocols
- Civil-work requirements assessed on site
- Voice-platform compatibility checked before selection
Wired, Wireless, or Hybrid?
The right architecture depends on your construction stage, budget, and how much of the home you want to automate. Here's how we think about it.
For new builds & full renovations
KNX is a standards-based wired protocol used in homes and commercial buildings. A correctly designed KNX topology can reduce reliance on Wi-Fi for core controls, while long-term serviceability still depends on the selected devices, documentation, spare capacity, programming access, and maintenance.
- Core wired controls can operate independently of Wi-Fi
- Open standard with multi-vendor product options
- Device compatibility verified during design
- Well suited to planned wired projects
Requires conduit laying before plastering. Not suitable for completed homes without civil work.
Deep dive on KNX →For retrofit & existing homes
Wireless protocols like Zigbee and Z-Wave use mesh networking — each device acts as a relay, so signal range is rarely an issue in practice. Wi-Fi-based smart switches are simpler but rely on your router's performance.
- No new wiring — fits in existing switch boxes
- Lower upfront cost
- Installation duration depends on scope and site access
- Works with all major voice assistants
Dependent on network quality. Large homes may need mesh Wi-Fi or dedicated Zigbee coordinator.
Protocol comparison guide →Best of both worlds
Most of our larger Jaipur projects use a hybrid approach: KNX for lighting and HVAC (where reliability matters most), wireless for curtains and secondary zones, and a unified hub that controls everything through one interface.
- Mission-critical systems run wired
- Convenience zones stay wireless
- Single app for everything
- Easier to expand later
Requires careful planning upfront. Best suited for new builds with defined automation priorities.

Smart Lighting
Scene-based lighting, circadian dimming, motion-triggered zones, and presence detection. Your living room doesn't need the same light at 7am as it does at 10pm — we set it up so it adjusts automatically.
How smart lighting works →Climate & HVAC Automation
Pre-cooling before you arrive, occupancy-based shutdown in empty rooms, temperature schedules per zone. Works with most split ACs via IR blasters or direct wired integration. Read how AC automation cuts bills →
Security & Access Control
Smart video doorbells, biometric and PIN-based smart locks, motion-triggered alerts, and CCTV integration. Your phone knows who's at the door before you do. Security automation guide →
Curtains & Motorised Blinds
Motorised curtain tracks and roller blinds — controlled by app, schedule, or sensor. Wake up to natural light or block afternoon sun in the west-facing bedroom automatically.
Energy Monitoring
Real-time consumption dashboards can expose operating patterns, while schedules and control rules can reduce avoidable runtime. Any savings target should use a documented baseline and like-for-like post-commissioning measurements.
What does home automation cost in India? →AV & Entertainment
Multi-room audio, home theatre control, and unified AV scenes — one tap sets the movie mode (lights dim, TV on, projector screen drops). Integrated into the same controller as the rest of your home.
The protocols we work with
We don't push a single brand or ecosystem. Our approach is to pick the right protocol for each layer of your system — then integrate everything into one controller so you never see the seams.
For wired systems, we use KNX — the global standard for professional building automation, supported by 500+ manufacturers. For retrofit wireless work, we primarily use Zigbee (mesh, reliable, energy-efficient) and Wi-Fi (easier for off-the-shelf integrations). Newer installations increasingly use Matter, the cross-ecosystem standard backed by Apple, Google, Amazon, and Samsung — ensuring your devices won't be locked to a single app.

Every home automation project we do follows the same four-stage process — so nothing is improvised on site, and you're never surprised by what's happening.
Discover
We visit your home (or study the floor plan), understand how you live, which rooms need what, and what your current infrastructure looks like. You get a written scope — not a verbal estimate.
Design
Our engineers produce a full automation design: device layout, protocol choice, wiring/conduit plan (for new builds), app UI, and scene logic. You approve before anything is purchased.
Install & Commission
The installation team works against the approved scope. Selected scenes, schedules, integrations, manual controls, and fallback behaviour are tested and recorded before user training and handover.
Support & Upgrades
Optional Annual Maintenance Contracts can include compatible remote diagnostics, scheduled checks, and defined site support. Warranty assistance, response targets, exclusions, and future additions follow the written proposal or AMC.

Read →Questions homeowners ask us
What happens if the Wi-Fi goes down — does everything stop working?
Outage behaviour depends on the selected platform and configuration. Systems with local wall controls and locally stored logic can retain specified functions without internet, while remote access and cloud voice services normally require connectivity. We document the required fallback behaviour during design and test it at handover.
Is home automation safe from hacking?
No connected system is risk-free. Encryption, update policy, account security, local-control options, and network segmentation vary by product and project. Where supported and included in scope, we can separate IoT devices from primary user networks and document access permissions and update responsibilities. Read more on home security →
Can I automate just one room or does it have to be the whole house?
Absolutely — we do single-room installations regularly. The master bedroom is the most popular starting point (lights, AC, curtains, lock). You can expand room by room at your own pace. We design the first install with future expansion in mind so there's no rework.
Will it work with my existing AC / lights / geysers?
In most cases, yes. We can integrate most split ACs via IR control. Standard tube lights and incandescent bulbs can be dimmed via compatible smart dimmers. For geysers, we use smart plugs or in-line smart switches. We assess compatibility during the site survey — we'll be upfront if something needs replacing.
How long does a typical installation take?
Duration depends on the controlled points, construction stage, wiring changes, access, finishes, and integrations. After assessment, the proposal records the expected work sequence and duration before work starts.
What if I want to expand or change things later?
Expansion depends on controller capacity, protocol compatibility, available wiring, licences, and continued product support. We can reserve capacity where it is justified and document which scene or schedule changes users can make themselves. Later changes follow the applicable AMC or a separately approved service scope.
Do you handle the ongoing maintenance?
Optional Annual Maintenance Contracts are available. The selected agreement states which remote assistance, compatible firmware updates, scheduled checks, site visits, response targets, and exclusions apply. Ask us about AMC scope.
How much does home automation actually cost in Jaipur?
Cost depends on controlled circuits, construction stage, wiring, platform, device count, finishes, security and AV scope, programming, and support. We provide an itemised project quote after assessment instead of presenting a universal package price. See the cost factors →
